About The Game

CCRPG is a comprehensive grand-strategy country simulation game. Players create their own fully-customizable nations in an ultra-realistic model of the real world, and act as the governing bodies of their country. The game follows an emergent storyline determined entirely by player-generated content.

A Challenging Strategy Game

CCRPG is first and foremost an epic strategy game based off of the greatest strategy game of all - life. Political, economic, social, historical, religious, international, commercial, diplomatic, military factors all must be taken account for any country's future. Choose your strategic goals - will your nation be known as a commercial empire, a diplomatic exemplar, or an imperialist hegemon?

A Unique Roleplay Story

CCRPG might have "RPG" in its name, but it is unlike any other RPG. The world is not planet Earth and you are not restricted to choosing a real life country like Britain. You have it within your power to control and roleplay every aspect of your own country. Customize it to your heart's content - you can have a basic country or you can intricately describe and roleplay your country's religions, political parties, social leaders, electoral events, assassinations, publish newspapers and propaganda, and much, much more! There is no "set" storyline either, the entire game's "story" is emergent, and is developed only through interactions of player's countries and player-generated national events. You have unbridled absolute freedom!

A Unique Perspective

At CCRPG, the "status quo" is boring. This isn't the "End of History" with a world of capitalistic liberal democracies. It is comprised of countries as diverse as the players that control them. Ever wonder how an anarcho-syndicalist society might function? or a corporate utopia? or a demogogic ohlocracy? What about the same country transitioning through all of them in the same year? At CCRPG it's possible. Diversity of government and economic societies is encouraged. You have the power to toy with the very fabric of society to suit your own interest; be bold and experiment! You don't have the chance to hit "undo" in real life!

An Educational Tool

CCRPG is also an excellent educational tool. The game is modeled after the real world's economic laws, geography, technology, politics, and human interactions. The only thing that is different is time and place. As the leader of a nation, you will grapple with some of the most difficult problems ever to be contemplated by the human mind. Enact social legislation and economic policy, engage in diplomatic relations, and plan your military tactics. Discover the nature of certain policies and their consequences - experience firsthand why certain governments are inherently unstable, why price stabilization leads to rationing & crime, and how inflating money supplies can create financial panics. See what the politicians do, and see if you can do better!

A Balance for All

Are you a busy person with little time to spare? Or are you looking for something fun and rewarding to invest much of your spare time in? CCRPG is designed to balance for people with a wide variety of time-preferences. The game progresses weekly - with one week constituting one in-game year. All major events and accounts update on a weekly basis. So at the very least, you need only manage your country for a few minutes each week. Beyond that, it is entirely at your discretion - the longer time you spend, the deeper you can invest in the game: make close-knit alliances, micromanage your economy, roleplay your country's social fabric, and much more! The rewards of the game are directly proportional to how much you put into it.

A Thrilling Experience

You are experiencing politics in its raw form. The events and interactions in the game might be fake, but they are modeled on real life actions - so the emotions you will encounter are REAL: Making secret alliances with other players in backroom deals, tactfully negotiating peace for your time, debating passionately over foreign policy, going to war with another nation with everything at stake - all can be highly thrilling events. Passions will develop, tensions will flare, you will feel the visceral side of politics. The only question is, can you handle it?
