About This Version
At present, CCRPG is preparing an "Interim Version" (IV) of the game. This version is a compromise between the familiar versions known to CCRPG verterans and the profound vision we have for CCRPG's future. It integrates the simplicity of the most successful past versions with hints of advanced new features. This version is entirely automated to ensure simplicity, elegance, and satisfaction for the optimal playing experience.
CCRPG IV serves as the "proving grounds" for many of the advanced new features we have designed. If the are too cumbersome and do not add favorably to gameplay or players' experience, they will be modified or scrapped. Successfully implemented new features will serve as the springboard for even more complicated and advanced features that rest their foundations on these core concepts.
The IV will also serve as the market test for the viability of CCRPG's future as a gaming company. If it gathers a large base of players and supporters, research and development will continue to design the future projects that we have all been aiming so high for.

New Features
For new players and veterans of past versions alike, the following is a non-exhaustive list of new features implemented into this version of CCRPG:
- Dynamic Prices: All prices for goods fluctuate every year based on the scarcity of resources in a country. Prices also differ between countries. Thus, no two periods of prices in no two countries will ever be exactly alike! This gives rise to comparative advantages for countries - the ability to specialize in cheaply producing certain goods to trade with other countries for their special goods at a mutual advantage!
- Building Materials: In the past, most buildings and units were constructed with a single building material (steel). If your country didn't have enough, you were in for some rough days. If you did have it, you were the commercial kingpin or the military target. Now there are multiple building materials that players can use to construct assets in various proportions. All players will have greater access to building materials, and since there are so many different kinds along with dynamic prices, there will always be some materials that are cheaper to use than others, and that will also vary across countries!
- Dynamic Money: Instead of a one-dimensional "number" that functioned as money-units in the past, now there are various kinds of money to choose from. Players can choose from Copper, Silver, and Gold to create commodity-based money. Players have tight control over their money supplies, choosing how much to mint and circulate, and how much to preserve for industrial uses. Additionally, players have the options of creating their own national currencies, issuing bonds, circulating banknotes representing their currency, inflate their money supply through fractional reserve banking, and trade national currencies on the foreign exchange market.
- Advanced Warfare System: The defining (noneconomic) mark of the new version of CCRPG is the new warfare system. Instead of a simple battle of numbers on a single strategic plane, there are many new variables to take into account. Battles now become strategic games of movement and positioning - a new "tactical battle map" of 9x9 sectors representing each territory bring battles to a whole new tactical level. The turn-based system remains, but has been highly augmented by two new levels of strategy, new specialized units, tactical advantages across units, terrain & fortification multipliers, and much more!
- New Assets: Many new resources, goods, infrastructure, and units have been added - creating a great diversity of things to produce, trade, capture, and destroy! The following
is a sample of new toys to play with:
- Resources: Wood, Aluminum, Lead
- Goods: Alcohol, Drugs, Electronics, Engines, Jewelry, Polymers
- Infrastructure: Tavern, Bank, Embassy, Territorial Capital Building
- Units: Jetliner, Sniper, Special Forces, Light Vehicle, Light Armor, Speedboat, Multi-Role Fighter, Ground-Attack Fighter, Air Superiority Fighter, Missiles
- Full Automation: No more lengthy forum posts, no more calculations, no more income reports! All game actions are 100% fully automated and presented for you in a sleek user interface. The forum of course is still used for roleplaying, alliance-making, and interacting with other players. However, the costs of playing the game have dropped through the floor, so you can devote as little or as much time to actually playing as you want!

Planned Features
The initial beta test and release of CCRPG will only ensure the functionality of the core game engine, but the following features are stated to be tested and fully implemented into the game at a later point:
- Domestic Political Reactions: Political factions, public opinion, and oppositions which automatically spawn and react to the player's public policies. Depending on the severity of the policies and reactions, such actions can cross a spectrum from vocal opposition to coup d'etats to armed rebellion to outright civil war - which the player must tame with their police and military forces.
- Random Events: Natural disasters, severe weather events, plane crashes, and the like will cause every player to keep on their toes and be ready for anything.
- Rogue Elements: Violent crimes, black markets, pirates on the high seas, and terrorists who have acquired weapons and assets from your country or another become threats that must be dealt with both nationally and internationally.
- Espionage: Players will be able to keep tabs on other countries, engage in covert military operations, steal secret technologies, infiltrate foreign defenses, and counteract attempts from other countries to do the same, adding an entirely new strategic level to international diplomacy and warfare. A whole host of new units come into play: Spies, Snipers, Speedboats, Recon Vehicles, Sentry Planes, and Satellites.
- Research & Development: New advanced technologies can be researched - from ultra-advanced energy sources to steath units to mass production technology to scifi Wunderwaffen, gain an edge up on your rivals!
- Complete Asset Customization: Construct your assets through any different production process. Use different combinations of inputs to alter the characteristics of your produced assets!
- Capitalization: With the accumulation of capital, any industry can increase in productivity, allowing players to produce the same output with less resources, or more output with the same amount of resources.
- Other Fronteirs: Under the oceans, into outer space, new realms to be explored and conquered!
